Hunting in the Forest

  • Glentrool Hive Glentrool, Scotland, DG8 6SY United Kingdom (map)

As part of the Glentrool Forest Festival

Lead by Elizabeth Tindal, Freelance Ranger. You don't need to be an experienced hunter to take part. You can come along and see if you can find all the different things hiding in the Forest around Glentrool.

This set of hunting activities are designed for families with younger children. They will each be about 30 - 40 minutes long with a short break before the next one starts.

THE NOT FOREST HUNT - Elizabeth will be hiding some things that you shouldn't find in the Forest, do you think that you will be able to find them? Elizabeth will lead you on an hunt for computer keyboards, clocks, welly boots and lots more things that shouldn't be there.

FOREST TREASURE HUNT - Elizabeth will be asking you to find all kinds of natural treasures in the Forest - are you good at looking and finding things? If so then this is the activity for you.

MINIBEAST HUNT - Minibeasts hide from us, and the sun, and the rain, and things that eat them and well, they like hiding! Elizabeth will be helping you to discover where and learn more about them. The other hunts will prepare you to help you find the creatures of the forest.
