Our Dark Nights: A New Community Archive for the Galloway Forest Dark Sky Park

Are you interested in dark sky heritage and sense of place? Would you like to be involved in the creation of a new community archive that explores the rich social, cultural and ecological pasts, presents and futures of Galloway's dark skies?
As part of International Dark Sky Week, artist-researcher Natalie Marr and researcher Mirjami Lantto Klein will be running a creative workshop during the day followed by a public event in the evening to launch the project.
WORKSHOP
10:30 – 15:30
An excellent way to get directly involved in the project, learn more about community archiving and enjoy some creative making including cyanotypes (blue prints) and DIY film slides. To find out more and book your free place, click here.
PUBLIC EVENT
18:00 – 20:00
The public event will include a quick intro to the project and an informal exhibition of initial archive ideas and materials with further information about how to get involved with the project.
